Choose Brave--Week 1

Hello ladies

As we come to the end of Week 1 of our study I wanted to capture some thoughts from each day.

On Monday, we saw how we are to live. In 1 Timothy 6:11-12 we read that we are to flee these things. What things? All that are opposite of righteousness, godliness, faith, love, steadfastness and gentleness instead of pride and riches. We are called to fight the good fight of the faith. To take hold of the eternal life to which you were called. Remembering our good confession—-our turning to Christ! Who we are in Him.

On Tuesday, we read in Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding in all your ways acknowledge Him and He will make straight your paths. In Psalm 9:10And those who know your name put their trust in You, for You, O Lord, have not forsaken those who seek You. If we would do all these things, trust, acknowledge, seek and not lean on myself He will make my ways straight. All verbs, action words. What I need to do. And remember to always trust the One I know His name because I do remembering He has never forsaken me that’s why I seek Him. He has proven Himself over and over. He is faithful!

On Wednesday, we focused on Psalm 34:8. I love the excitement of the psalmist here. Notice the punctuation! All exclamation points. O taste and see the the Lord is good! Blessed is the man who takes refuge in Him! An invitation with excitement and a wonderful promise! I want that for myself for others because the Lord is good! We need this reminder daily. We are blessed when we take refuge in Him. Take shelter in a safe harbor when we flee the world, escape war, persecution or disaster. We are refugees finding help in the Lord, the God of the universe!

On Thursday, ah here we read about forgiveness and bearing with one another. Bearing meaning to hold up, keep back from falling, having patience with the errors of weaknesses of others. It implies giving someone room to grow in faith and their walk. We’ve been given so much, how can we not forgive. Bearing is my responsibility, my response, and my behavior.

On Friday, we read how God has given us peace and to not be afraid. How He is on our side. In Isaiah 41:10 we read fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. This is both a command and a promise. Fear not, for I am with you. When God Says fear not we need to take it seriously! And the promise that He is with us. In Romans 8:31 we are reminded If God is with us, who can be against us? what more do we need? At times we feel alone and get discouraged, but remember we are NEVER alone. God is with us. He will strengthen us, He is able. He loves us so much He will help us. So please remember who He is, and who you are in Him. He is the God of all power and glory and you are His precious daughter.

Be blessed and encouraged my dear sisters. God is so good and He is with us.
